TOPSHOP

Having worked in Topshop for around 3 years, I was able to gain a wide range of skills and an understanding of the retail industry. I was required to work alongside a small team to deliver the best customer service. Working in a very popular store meant that the communication within the team was to a high standard, which ensured that consumer needs were met, and in-house targets were achieved. I was trusted by my managers to lead my team as well as overlooking the shop floor. When in charge, I had to make sure that my team were clear with the job at hand as well as reassurance that I am here if they need help. Alongside my role, I was also the designated till trainer, as my communication skills were clear enough for others to understand. This role allowed me to lead, follow and be part of a business which, has given me a greater insight into the world of the fast fashion retail industry.

During the second term of my second year, I got given the opportunity to work within the VIP PR department for three weeks. During this work experience, I took part in the handling of exclusive products, while gifting SS19 new collection for London Fashion week. I learnt the importance of organising garments and monitoring important client samples. This role allowed me to be part of a worldwide known company, working in a fast pace environment and being part of a very important team of the company. This position taught me that, I enjoyed PR very much, however, would benefit more of the role, if experienced in a PR agency. Although, I learnt a great amount at Burberry, this experience was clear to me that I had to learn more of the role. However, having done this experience, my interest heavily lies in creative marketing.

BURBERRY

I had the privilege to undergo a 9-week e-commerce and marketing placement. During my time at Aspiga, I was responsible for refurbishing areas of the website, designing banners for email newsletters and social media advertising. I was also trusted to manage customer services and financial accounts. This taught me the in-depth working of such a small company and allowed me to participate in a variety of different roles. I also learnt how to use different e-commerce software such as Shopify, BrightPearl and Google analytics. In comparison to Burberry, this role allowed me to experience the side of a much smaller company. This experience, clarified to me that I greatly enjoy the creative side of marketing, this either being, designing, strategic planning or creating visual marketing mock-ups.

ASPIGA

Having worked for 3 amazing companies, I am now looking for a position which will allow me to flourish within the role as well as experience different aspects of marketing. Even though, my interest heavily lies within the creative side, I greatly enjoy coming up with strategic plans which would benefit a brand. I am eager to put my skills in play and to continue my learning journey from industry professionals.
